Oh, my dear sweet blog, how I’ve missed you! I’m sorry for being away for an entire month!
HAPPY LEAP DAY!
Today is February 29, 2012. Wow! Two of my favourite TV shows, Modern Family and The Middle, both featured episodes tonight in which a main character celebrated a Leap Year birthday. In Modern Family, Cameron turned 40 – or as he liked to call it, 10! After several failed attempts at organizing a party for him, Mitchell and the family celebrated Cameron’s birthday at an amusement park, where he could act like a 10 year old.
In The Middle, the middle child Sue’s Leap Day birthday was forgotten by her distracted parents and older and younger brother until Sue’s mom Frankie awoke at 4:00am and realized that Sue’s birthday had come and gone. Everyone woke up and quickly threw some presents and a cake together. Poor Sue!
